USUAL DOSE

Pretreatment:

Baseline studies indicated; see Monitor.

Ibandronate:

3 mg as an IV injection over 15 to 30 seconds every 3 months. Supplemental calcium and vitamin D may be required. See Precautions. Do not administer more frequently than every 3 months; if a dose is missed, administer it as soon as it can be rescheduled, and schedule the next injection for 3 months from that date.

DOSE ADJUSTMENTS

No dose adjustment is indicated based on age, gender, or impaired hepatic function. ■ No dose adjustment is indicated for impaired kidney function in patients with a CrCl equal to or greater than 30 mL/min; see Contraindications.
